Mark your Calendars!


I hope everyone had a relaxing spring break! It feels great to get back into the swing of things here at school.

Here are a few important "end-of-the-year" dates for your calendars:
May 3rd- Mrs. Horton's FATHER/SON Chess night in the classroom 4:30-5:30 (Ice cream Sundaes! I'll provide the ice cream.. Can you bring toppings?)
May 8th - Basic Aid Training in the afternoon at school
May 9th - Basic Aid Training in the morning at school
May 13th - One yard of fabric due for the Book Project
May 16th - All day water field trip with Telluride Institute to the local Waterwaste Treatment Facilities (Need 2 Chaperones)
May 17th- Mrs. Horton's MOTHER/DAUGHTER book club in the classroom 4:30-5:30 Books will be handed out tomorrow! (Ice cream Sundaes! I'll provide the ice cream.. Can you bring toppings?)
May 23rd - 24th - 4th Grade Overnight Trip to Colorado National Monument National Park (Need 5-6 Chaperones.  All chaperones need to be able to drive or carpool with other chaperones and attend a parent meeting

May 31st - Field Day in Town Park
June 3rd- 3rd grade Step-Up Day
June 5th - Author's Tea Party in the classroom to share our Adventure Survival Written and Illustrated Book Project

There will be much more information coming out in the next couple weeks regarding parent volunteers, especially for the overnight trip!
